Along with my duties teaching 'Movement for the Actor' and 'Musical Theatre Performance' this year at VCU, I am also directing the spring musical URINETOWN. My concept is that our production will be a live action graphic novel (a choice to go against the usual "brechtian" approach).
Our show features musical direction by Ben Miller and choreography by Brianna Larson. The cast is made up of a large group of talented undergraduates (many of whom are students of mine) and led by VCU MFA Student and Equity Actor Matt Ferrell (star of the International Tour of The Rocky Horror Show) as Officer Lockstock.
The production opens April 15th at VCU's Hodges Theatre and runs through May 1st. For more information please visit http://arts.vcu.edu/theatre/
Role on AMC's Turn: Washington's Spies
I will be appearing in an upcoming episode of AMC's Turn: Washington's Spies. The show returns for its third season this April and I can be seen in this season's eighth episode (titled "Mended") in the principal role of 'Singing Patron'. As a big fan of the show, I was excited to take part in it and to share a seen with famed character actor John Carroll Lynch (American Horror Story, Fargo). Look for me on Turn in late May on AMC.
Concert of Hello Again at Richmond Triangle Players
This past September, I played the role of 'The Soldier' in an acclaimed concert performance of Michael John Lachiusa's Hello Again at Richmond Triangle Players Theatre. I appeared opposite fellow AEA member and VCU Alum Marisa Guida (in the role of 'The Whore'). The concert was directed by RTP associate artist (and cast member from RTP's recent production of Yank!) Keith Fitzgerald.
